We have made quite a progress by this time. We have finalized all of our partners and vendors, electrical gears including UPS, ATS, PDU have been ordered. Mechanical ducting has also been sized and proposed… More detailed updates as we finalize our final design soon! Meanwhile here are some of the photos of the recent progress ….

This was the document that halted our project for almost 2 weeks
Glad to finally get it stamped by the city!

Our Datacenter Mechanical Design paperworks.

The view from our balcony. As you can see our building is way above the city street, way above Seattle lightrail track, and way above the buildings in the lower part of the city. If you notice to the left behind the trees, it is the Seattle sound transit bus parking facility. Yes, we are certain that flooding is not a concern

Walled-off T-junction for building water pipes

Completed skeleton awaiting drywalls.

Electrical Switch Gear is in place on top of the concrete pads. This should be juiced up by end of this month!

These are some photos that have been taken on the last week of March 2010. Our project was halted from this point onwards pending City of Tukwila inspection approval.

The current state of the datacenter buildout with new drywall frames, and ripped-out ceiling tiles.

A glance on the extremely thick security wire mesh that we are putting inside our wall

A closer look on the thick security wire mesh

This old fire suppression system will be torn down. We will be installing pre-action, dual interlock system with VESDA.

Network connectivity building conduit loop. We will build a new loop carrying our own fiber connectivity.

Another Building conduit loop in our space

Old Tiles have been partially ripped off. We will be putting new VCT tiles in place during the construction

After a few weeks of waiting for the city permit, having to go back and forth working with Tukwila Inspector, we finally have received the permit to continue with the buildout of our datacenter! This is an exciting news as we have been sitting idle for at least a couple weeks, not being able to move on with the project pending the permit.
We are currently working on patching the remainder of the drywalls, tearing down one final wall in our space and hopefully conclude the first phase of the site construction project by end of this month.
We have also completed the tear down and scrapping of the previous floor tiles and we have selected the brightest white VCT tile color for our datacenter floor.
Stay tuned for more updates on our datacenter project!

Hello All,
We are extremely excited to officially announce our newest datacenter project in Seattle, Washington with code name of Coloinseattle. Coloinseattle is located in the Sabey Intergate Technology Campus, the largest datacenter campus in North America. We are looking forward to building a green datacenter with latest technologies and engineering that concentrate on energy efficiencies. We hope to launch Coloinseattle sometime in the summer of 2010.
The team behind ColoinSeattle project is the same exact team behind the trusted Wow technologies, Inc that has been running Wowrack.com since 2001. We believe our experience and expertise in Internet hosting and datacenter management will result in a highly efficient and highly available datacenter facility.
We’ll post the progress of our project in this blog, so make sure to check back frequently!
